Avian influenza – situation in China – update 46禽流感-中国的情况-最新简报467 December 20052005年12月7日The Ministry of Health in China has confirmed a further case of human infection with the H5N1 avian influenza virus. The case is a 10-year-old girl from the southern province of Guangxi. She developed symptoms of fever and cough on 23 November, followed by pneumonia. She remains in hospital, where she is receiving care.中国卫生部又确诊了一例感染H5N1禽流感的病人。这个病例是南方省区广西的一名10岁小女孩。她于11月23日出现发烧、咳嗽的症状，随后出现肺炎症状。目前该病例仍旧在医院接受治疗。Local health authorities have launched investigations to determine the source of exposure and search for further cases in the patient’s village of residence and surrounding areas. To date, monitoring of health status has revealed no additional cases of influenza-like illness.
